Client Profile:
The Skills Development Programm (SDP) is a project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The SDP is implemented by Swisscontact in a consortium with INBAS and in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT) and the Ministry of Tourism (MoT). The programme works closely with the government at the national and the provincial levels and with partners such as the National Employment Agency and private companies.
Tasks:
- Support & develop teaching & learning guides and materials with the national technical working group on masonry occupations, according the Cambodian Qualification Framework (CQF) level 2 (C1)
- Coach teaching activities delivered by the TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) school teaching team
Results:
The expert recommended creating a syllabus and course notes, in addition to the existing competency-based curriculum. This will help to establish workshop activities and improve the quality of teaching. In his report he provides an example of a syllabus with workshop activities for a teaching module. The need to implement the proposal has been recognised and a working group will be formed to implement this.
