Client Profile:
Gautam School is (according to the results in the board exams) one of the most efficient schools in the Parsa District of Nepal. It consists of classes from Nursery up to grade 10, with mostly 4 sections per grade and 40 to 50 students in one class. A total of 75 teachers are teaching the around 2100 students in two big buildings and a hostel.
Tasks:
Class visits in Pre-Primary and Primary 1 to 3, including feedback to the teachers and direct interventions. 12 workshops for Pre-Primary teachers (Practical life, Pre-writing skills, Lesson planning, Language teaching, Mathematics, Role plays, Games, Rhymes, Fairy tales, etc.)
Results:
Teachers immediately implemented what they had learnt in the workshops. Some of them started using their own fanatasy, changing their teaching habits and producing their own teaching metarial. They also started to prepare and to discuss together and to improve and widen their subject knowledge.
