Client Profile:
The client manages a hospitality education and training institution in the east of Nepal. During the Covid crisis the client decided to diversify the course delivery format from classroom-based to online.The aim was to meet demand for online teaching from students. At the same time, the institution wish to update its academic curriculum.
Tasks:
A hospitality expert was required to help prepare online learning management modules to teach and evaluate students. The expert analysed the academic documents supporting the classroom classes and made suggestions to adapt the curriculum in view of an innovative pedagogical format of teaching their courses and delivering it to students attendees.
Results:
The assignment tasks were almost fully achieved. Nevertheless, the expert suggests a follow up on-campus mission to consolidate the acquired skills. Therefore the client can proceed and implement a blended educational model in the near future. A great variety of documents comprising PowerPoint presentations and live online lessons were delivered to prepare the clients‘ transition towards a hybrid (online and in class) educational format.
