The client is a medium sized, privately owned media-house, producing two financial/business publications with nationwide circulation: a daily newpaper in Nepali and a monthly publication in English.
The company was established in 2001. Today, the company employs 130 employees – advertising is the main revenvue stream. For the last couple of years, advertising revenue has been declining year after year and operation resulted in a loss.
The scope of the Swisscontact project included the following:
- training of Sales Manager and Sales Force – proposal of a new incentive plan
- development of a job description template and JD’s for key positions
- proposal for a future Performance Management System (PMS)
A tailormade, basic sales training (7 modules) was developed and 7 training workshops were concuted. In parallel, on-the-job counseling of the Sales Manager and participation in all Sales- and Marketing meetings.
Job Descriptions for key positions, a framework for a future incentive plan and a PMS-process with related documents were developed and presented to the senior management team.
General business-management consultancy has been provided to the CEO and the senior management team of the company.
