Client Profile:
The client, a travel company, is one of the longest established and best known Destination Management Companies in Albania. They offer a wide range of activities in the Balkans (Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo and Turkey) to complement individual needs and preferences, from short city breaks to complex itineraries with reasonable prices.
Tasks:
Develop the hiking-tourism in middle Albania. Define doubts over products, international rules, standards and regulations, field training, voluntary aspects like protection of environment, supporting the locals and community support.
Results:
With help of some local people, four hikes were marked with the signs white-red-white. Flyers of six hikes described in English, containing photographs were sent to several organisations in tourism. The descriptions and the GPS-tracks are available in Wikiloc and other hiking sites.
