The PHORAN project (PHOtonique et RAdiodiffusion Numérique) offers diploma courses in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) at the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) in Benin with the aim of providing the Beninese and sub-regional market with qualified technicians mastering all the technology related to optical telecommunications but also the technical notions involved in a digital radio and/or television environment.
After a first SEC assignment on-site in 2018, the SEC is organising, together with PHORAN, distance learning courses to train students and technicians in taking appropriate measurements. An SEC expert is conducting a remote assignment right now. Swisscontact’s SEC experts support will further be needed to train students and technicians, as soon as it is possible to conduct an assignment on-site.
