This week we received a very special message from one of our long-term SEC clients in Nepal, Mr. Darje Lama. As the owner of the Moondance Restaurant in Pokhara, an attractive tourist destination, he reacts proactively to the current crisis and uses the chance to show solidarity with the tourists. We are impressed to see this beautiful gesture as one possible reaction to our SEC cooperation and our strong relationships with our clients in the partner countries:
„Dear Swisscontact, Namaste!
Hope this finds you well. Just wanted to say hello and checking to see how everyone is doing during this tough and uncertain time.
Today is the 9th day of lockdown in Nepal. „Moondance Restaurant“ served free lunch of takeaway Nepali dalbhat and salad for eight days of lockdown to the stranded tourists in Pokhara since almost all dal restaurants are closed. We served to over 700 tourists.
You have been kind to us. Thank you for giving us your love and support these past years. We are sharing the same love to the world. Hope this pandemic ends soon and we can all get back to our normal lives.
Sending you much love from Pokhara.
Regards,
Dorje Lama“
