Client Profile:
The client is a small women shoe factory in Peja, Kosovo. Its main activity is the finishing of women shoes.
The company consists of 9 well-trained employees. Larger production facilities are needed to increase productivity.
Tasks:
For a duration of only two weeks, the tasks for the expert have been many:
- He had to consult the use of sophisticated working tools such as right temperature on heating glued outsoles, when and where to use different stitching lenghts, the way of leather skiving etc.
- Improve the performance chain, from selection of materials, assembly of upper parts to stitching the same.
Results:
Together they developed new models and identified other possible materials.
The expert also visited another shoe factory in Peja and the governor of Peja. The main topic discussed with the governor was if there is a possibility for the company to find larger production facilities in Peja, allowing the company to grow.
