Impact of SEC

Through their consultancy assignments, our experts provide hands-on, cost-effective support towards sustainable development of companies and institutions. Today, more than 700 mainly retired technical experts, ranging from craftspersons to hotel managers to marketing specialists, provide their expertise and valuable professional experience.

Promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME)

Since 1979, the SEC has coordinated over 4,000 assignments, with experts having provided roughly 1,400,000 hours of voluntary work. This is equal to an estimated 57 million Swiss francs.

The SEC is a program of Swisscontact. Since 1993, the program has been supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
