Client Profile:
The management school was recently founded. It serves students in the tourism and hospitality sectors, preparing them for successful careers in this industry.
Tasks:
- To define the vision, mission, and objectives for the school and to agree which metrics and measurement tools will be used to measure success.
- Internal objectives: increasing understanding about the school’s objectives and those of its stakeholders.
- External objectives: Getting ready for possible international accreditation and quality label.
Results:
Due to Covid restrictions, the tasks couldn’t be completed to as high a standard as would normally be desirable. The SEC expert was unable to travel to Nepal. Therefore, it was not possible to see the whole institution, to talk with the stakeholders and to work in an intensive way. For the client, the situation was very difficult and demanding as all the students left the school because of the pandemic. Therefore, the focus was on the acquisition and on the operative tasks, to secure some income in the short term (catering, event management).
