Client Profile:
Sinduhli Community Technical Institute (SCTI) is an Engineering Institute which trains young people in civil engineering. The University of engineers is in Kathmandu.
Tasks:
– Monitoring, supporting and supervising of the lecturers, mainly in the engineering subjects. – Supervising the two Swiss instructors in the workshop subject’s masonry and carpentry. – Optimizing the layout in carpentry workshop. – Motivating all the students to be active and critical.
Results:
– Local instructors are mainly able to teach the students in practical work in carpentry and masonry. – The students are more active and critical. – Most lecturers have switched from the “frontal teaching”. They are more active, ask the students and do not always give the answer themselves. This was not very easy to apply.
