Client Profile:
The association is a local, not-for-profit, fair trade organization providing design, market, management and technical services to low-income, primarily female craft producers. They have approximately 1,000 workers – full and part time, in house and outside. The association has been successful in balancing its business priorities and its social obligations since its establishment in 1984. Today, they are proud to define themselves as a socially oriented, commercially viable enterprise.
Tasks:
The expert was asked to resolve a technical problem, to increase efficiency and to further develop the production of large scale felt products such as blankets and scarfs.
Results:
During three weeks, 14 master samples for creating felt blankets and further products have been made as well as some felt technical problems solved providing detailed documentation: every master sample can be reproduced as exactly as possible.
