Client Profile:
The client is an innovative printing company active in commercial printing, book printing and packaging markets. With 70 employees, solutions for the local and international market are produced from prepress to the finished print product.
Tasks:
The following tasks were assigned to the expert:
- Analysis of all production processes
- Analysis of the company organization
- Elaboration and implementation of optimization measures
- Propose and launch initiatives for the continuous training of professionals
Results:
First the expert analysed the organisation and the production processes including quality management. Afterwards, the optimization proposals of the expert were discussed and first measures were initiated.
The development and introduction of a simple production data reporting system followed. The first targeted measures could be introduced based on the new findings. Using a simple self made database enabled an easy collection of production data for the existing but underused MIS. First comparisons with the basic data of the MIS and the evaluations of the production data took place and showed where the basic data needs to be adjusted.
