The client is a very small family run business. The owners son (also part of the company) won several championships in and outside of Macedonia in Mountain Biking. To enable him to do so and to provide financial support, the father founded several years ago the Eco Drome Biking & Cycling Club.
Basically this was the start of the company whose business idea is to sell day tours (with plans to offer extended tours) in MTB, hiking and kayaking. The owners son plans the tours, accompanies them as qualified MTB guide and also works as a MTB & hiking guide for other local tourist companies. Furthermore, he is a skilled bike mechanic (the company owns 20 MTB), as well as a volunteer at the Red Cross and Mountain Rescue team.
Goals and tasks have been:
- analyse the actual business situation
- outlook in tourism development in Macedonia
- define a strategy and adequate marketing
- define markets: countries with direct flights to Macedonia
- develop a strategy: concentration on sports activities > mountain biking
- define USPs and marketing measures (social medias, website content)
- establish a business plan for 2019 + 2020
