The client is running a community based nursery and primary school for around 300 pupils. As the number of pupils and therefore the revenue has dropped during the last years, the client is keen to improve its management and raise funds to cover the school’s shortcoming. The client has approached the SEC for technical assistance in school development and fundraising.
The expert has been given the following tasks: – Developing a strategy for the school – Implementing a new structure – Writing a proposal – Supporting the client in fundraising
During the first week, Annette Schifferli guided the management team through a SWOT-Analysis of the school and the definition and priorisation of objectives for the coming years. During the second week she wrote a proposal for fundraising, implemented a new structure and trained the management team in school administation. In the third week she accompanied the client to potential donors and found one, who is interested in financing a second block of five classrooms for this Nursery and Primary School.
