Client Profile:
Established in 2014, the Institute is a rapidly expanding school of Civil Engineering with about 150 students. On the school grounds are several new buildings in which students attend practical skills in Metallurgy, Electricity, Carpentry and Masonry to accompany their theoretical studies.
Tasks:
- Providing teaching and support regarding tools and equipment
- Proper application of coloring
- Providing support in set-up and arrangement of carpentry workshop
- Training of teachers (woodworking instructors)
Results:
- Numerous examples of 6 selected woodworking joints and brief application in Nepali house construction
- 15 pencil holders, 14 bench hooks, 3 boxes with lids, 20 tool boxes, 2 tea tables, 6 sawhorses, 1 prototype work table 2’x3’x3’6”
- 51 daily log books written by 48 students and 3 instructors
- Elementary teacher training of 3 instructors
